Who needs shredding services?
Under the Data Protection Act, any organisation that handles employee, customer or company information should consider a secure data destruction programme. Shredding confidential material will help protect you and your employees from identity theft.
Why should I shred my documents?
By shredding your confidential documents you can be sure that all data is completely destroyed. By doing it on-site you can be assured that no documents go missing en-route to other premises.
Can you shred at my premises?
Yes. Our mobile shredding vehicles are able to come to your premises at a time convenient to you for your shredding.
Can you take away my documents to be shredded?
Yes. We can collect your confidential data and transport it to our secure shredding facility, where the powerful shredding machines will completely destroy your data.
Can you shred electronic media e.g. CDs/DVDs?
Yes. Our vehicles are able to shred CD's, floppy disks and other electronic storage media. We can arrange for the destruction of uniforms and badges and the secure wiping of obsolete computer hard drives.
Can you shred uniforms?
Yes, we can destroy your uniforms.
Is your shredding service secure?
Yes. Your confidential materials are collected by experienced security checked staff and placed directly into the mobile shredder, which will stay on your premises until all the shredding is complete.
How can I be sure that all my confidential documents have been destroyed?
The powerful blades of the shredding machine will completely destroy your confidential material, and we will provide you with a Certificate of Destruction, confirming that your materials have been completely destroyed.
What happens to the documents after shredding?
Once they have been destroyed, your declassified materials are taken to one of our Secure Recycling Facilities where they are recycled for return as paper products.
Do I have to remove paper clips, coloured paper, staples or bindings from my documents?
No.
Do you hold a waste transfer licence?
Yes. Shred Easy have been registered since November 2007 and carries a waste transfer licence reference NCC/E/CON045/1 NCC/020553 for
waste storage
and NCC/020552 for
waste destruction

Do we get keys to the bins so that documents can be retrieved if necessary?
Yes. The contact for each site will have a copy of the key for the wheelie bin or console.
What happens if we need more/less bins/consoles?
There is a dedicated Banner Document Services Customer Service Team that can be contacted on
0845 602 9757
for all queries relating to the secure destruction of confidential waste. This team will be able to arrange delivery and collections of wheelie bins and consoles.
Can we store our documents in waste sacks instead of bins/consoles?
If you prefer, you can store your documents in waste sacks, which are available to purchase from
