What happens after shredding?
You’ve shredded all your confidential documents, so what happens next? First we provide you with a Certificate of Destruction to prove that your documents can no longer be accessed by any third party. Then the shredded waste paper is taken to one of our Secure Recycling Centres, where it’s recycled for return as paper products. By buying recycled paper-based products you can “close the loop” from collection to destruction and then recycling.
It’s the environmental choice
By choosing our
on-site shredding service that recycles your waste, you’re choosing to to make a positive contribution to help save the environment. We can, with your help, ensure every tonne of paper collected is recycled and made into new paper products - we ensure this does not go to landfill.
Did you know that making new paper from 100% recycled paper uses over 60% less energy and 60% less water, when compared to conventional "virgin" wood pulp production, and air pollution is also reduced by up to 70%. To put this into perspective, the energy saved in making just one ream of copier paper is enough to boil 160 litres (or kettles) of water from 20° to 100° Celcius!
Every one tonne of paper we recycle through our closed loop process produces nearly one tonne of finished high grade Banner recycled copier paper - customers who would like to participate in this closed loop scheme can contact us for more information.
